First annual Finger Lakes Cheese Festival

Have you ever wanted to experience the Finger Lakes Cheese Trail but didn’t have the time to travel to all of the 14 creameries?  Well, here’s your chance to tour the trail with one convenient stop at the first annual Finger Lakes Cheese Festival on July 28th!

Taking place at the Shtayburn Farm from 11-5 in Rock Stream, NY, members of the Finger Lakes Cheese Trail will be coming together for a day to bring to you samples of their best handcrafted cheese.   From cheddars and Gouda to brie and homemade mozzarella, take a bite out of local products while enjoying family friendly fun.

Activities will include tours, a petting zoo, Barnyard Olympics, yarn spinning demos and a cheese making class held by Finger Lakes Farmstead Cheese.  Other highlights will be a barbeque put on by Triple R BBQ, homemade ice cream offered by Dar’s Delights, juices from Red Jacket Orchards and homemade pies and fried cheese curds by Shtayburn farm.

The Finger Lakes Cheese Festival can be located just off of Route 14 at 2909 Chase Road on the west side of Seneca Lake. Admission is free to the public. For more information, please visit http://media.fingerlakeswinecountry.com/news/CheeseTrailFestival
