Fall Food and Wine Pairing Experiences

October and November are filled with harvest and fall-themed multi-course wine dinners. These dinners are a unique way to be immersed in the food and wine culture in the region as farmers, chefs, and winemakers collaborate to showcase their products in a wonderful synergy of flavors.


Aside from these dinners, Finger Lakes Restaurant Week offers a similar dining experience. The week-long celebration kicks off October 28th through November 3rd. Local chefs from

eleven restaurants

Harvest Dinner at Glenora Wine Cellars

Join the culinary team at Veraisons Restaurant for a Harvest Dinner celebrating fall and harvest in the Finger Lakes. Executive Chef Orlando Rodriguez, Executive Sous Chef Michael Wszolek, and Sous Chef Sarah Hassler have collaborated to create a “Nose to Tail” dining experience. The team will strive to utilize a locally sourced, whole pig in five delicious courses featuring fresh produce with perfectly paired wines. A sparkling wine reception with light hors d’oeuvres will begin the evening at 5:00 p.m.followed by the dinner, which will be served outside at a communal harvest table amidst the fall foliage. Remembrance Farm Dinner at Hazelnut Kitchen

Hazelnut Kitchen in Trumansburg has teamed up with farmers from Remembrance farm to create a delicious four-course wine pairing dinner us­ing fresh ingredients right from the farm. Up in Smoke Wine Dinner at Knapp Winery



Chef John McNabb of Knapp Vineyard Restaurant has created a five-course dinner with local ingredients he has smoked himself including meats, fish, vegetables, and even cheese. Each course will be paired with premium wines from Knapp Winery, Zugibe Vineyards and Glenora Wine Cellars. The cost is $74.90 per person which includes tax and gratuity. Fall Demonstration Cooking Class Dinner at Suzanne Fine Regional Cuisine

Suzanne Fine Regional Cuisine will host a Fall Demonstration Cooking Class from 6:00-9:00 p.m., which includes a three-course dinner with produce harvested from their own on-site garden. They are harvesting peppers, beets, tomatoes, arugula, late summer squash, zucchini, radishes, garlic, onions, rosemary, thyme, chives, basil, dill, cilantro, sage, oregano, tarragon, parsley, eggplant, and more. Other ingredients for the dishes will come from area farmers including, but not limited to, Six Circles Farm, Muddy Fingers Farm, Remembrance Farm, Autumns Harvest Farm, Lively Run Dairy, and Vanillen Dairy. A Taste of Fall Wine Dinner at Americana Vineyards

The culinary team at the Crystal Lake Café at Americana Vineyards will host their first five-course tasting dinner from 6:00 to 9:00 p .m. in the winery’s small barn. Each of the seasonal courses will be paired with one Americana Vineyards wine, spirit, cider or beer from other local producers. Vegetarian and gluten –free options will be available.
