21st Annual Glorious Garlic Festival at Fox Run Vineyards

continues its annual celebration of garlic in 2013 during the first weekend in August. The festival dates this year are August 3rd and 4th from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm each day. This trademark event never disappoints and always draws immense crowds of garlic and wine enthusiasts because truly, who doesn’t love garlic?  And secondly, who doesn’t love garlic and wine? Combine them with the magnificent location of Fox Run Vineyards overlooking one of the deepest parts of Seneca Lake and the result is a joyous and delicious experience that cannot be beat.


The two-day festival includes a multitude of components from cooking demonstrations and garlic tastings to live music and entertainment and even a live flameworking demonstration by a flameworker from the Corning Museum of the Glass. The Fox Run Beverage Barn offers Fox describe the imageRun estate wines by the glass as well as water and soft drinks. Admission and parking are free for the event. Many of the area’s top artisan garlic growers and chefs will be in attendance to offer garlic growing, storing, and cooking advice to festival goers. Tents filled with vendors from across the region are a staple at the festival. You can find anything from baked goods, local cheeses, flowers, vegetables, and coffee to art, pottery, jewelry, and more.


To ensure that you have your fill of garlic, acclaimed Chef Tony Gullace of Max Rochester will serve a menu of garlic-inspired foods that pair perfectly with Fox Run wines. The Tasting Room and the Café & Market will be open each day as well.
