Cayuga Lake Wine Trail's Harvest Hoopla 2011 Events

Join us for our
Harvest Hoopla during the month of September along the wineries on the Cayuga Lake Wine Trail.
Harvest will soon begin and the wineries will be hustling and bustling.
With all the heat we’ve had this summer the news in the vineyard is harvest
will start early. Majority of the wineries along the trail host harvest events
in celebration.

Hosmer Winery on
September 10th will host their “Some Like It Hot”. This
fall extravaganza is outside by the vineyard and
features live "hot" tunes, cool award winning wines and vendor
booths offering hot, spicy, and savory local products. On the same
weekend check out Americana Vineyards for their “Patriot’s Weekend”, Swedish
Hill and Goose Watch for their “Fall Fever Days” and Thirsty Owl for their “9th
Anniversary Bash” for lots of grape magic. On September 11th, Goose Watch
Winery, and the Seneca Falls Rotary will host their “4th Annual Jazz
Festival”.

At Montezuma Winery on
September 17th, kick up your heels and dance to the sounds of old fashioned
country fiddlin’ music as they celebrate the harvest season at their annual
“Harvest Hoedown”.  Enjoy a lip-smacking BBQ, a farm market of local
seasonal produce, and of course wine!  There’s even a “Best Herb Bread”
and an “Onion Bocce” contest. Bring your best Herb Bread recipe or play a game of
Onion Bocce for prizes.

On the same day head down the trail for more
fun at Cobblestone Farm Winery, for their “Glorious Grape Day”. Enjoy wine
tasting and grape treats such as grape pies, frozen grape pops, grape cookies,
and grape cheesecake. At Buttonwood Grove Winery, join them for their “Early
Fall Foliage Festival”. Live music, barbecue food, hayrides and tastings in the
vineyard. Six Mile Creek Vineyard in Ithaca

Christmas this year by shopping with their local artists' and crafters'. Free

in Knapp style this will not be a simple meal. Executive Chef, John McNabb
promises street food from south of the border weaved into five courses. Cuban,
Mexican and Panamanian influences will burst your palate paired with premium
wines.

them for their “German Festival”.Live German Band & Dancers, grape

to bring along your best ever German Potato Salad to enter their best recipe

There are two events on September 24th,
one at Bellwether Hard Cider, “Fabulous Fall Feast” and at Knapp Vineyards,
think sombreros, piñatas and salsas for their “Fall Fiesta”. Imagine dishes
using cilantro, chipotle peppers, red and green chilis, fajitas and more. Bring
