Delight in the Treasures Under the Tree Toy Exhibit

Reminisce in the magic of Christmas mornings gone by with the Treasures Under the Tree Toy Exhibit at the Rockwell Museum of Western Art. On display now through January 3, 2011, the Rockwell Museum will be transformed into a Western Wonderland, including a special Holiday Toy Exhibit in the Remington and Russell Lodge.

Visitors are invited to travel back through time to see treasures under the tree. The holiday exhibit will feature a selection of children's vintage toys and memorabilia from the Victorian era, and also will include selections from the 1920's and 1950's. A holiday tree, adorned with Victorian ornaments, will set the scene for the celebration of treasures under the tree on the Western stoned-faced hearth in The Remington and Russell Lodge.

Some visitors may recall memories of the ‘Rockwell Toy Collection' that Bob and Hertha Rockwell collected during their lifetimes. While no longer on permanent display, the holiday season is the perfect time to bring selected objects back for the community to enjoy.
